The "Beast" returns home


The giant trimaran that won the 33rd America's Cup for the team of Larry Ellison will leave the base as the 'BMW Oracle'has in Valencia later this month of January to head for San Francisco. The vessel, dubbed among fans as 'the Beast', will sail between days 29 and 30 of the city of Valencia on board a freighter to travel the 7,900 miles separating him from nautical American city to host the next edition in 2013.

"Estrella Damm leader in the Barcelona World Race


The Spanish Imoca Open 60 'Estrella Damm' Alex Pella and Pepe Ribes took the lead in the Barcelona World Race on the fourteenth day around 16.30 (Spanish time), when the Spanish ship sailed about 150 miles southeast of Fernando de Noronha archipelago. Barcelona World Race


The Barcelona World Race has begun. Backed by hundreds of spectator boats, on Friday 31 at 13:00, 14 boats crossed the starting line with a N-NE wind of no more than 7 knots.
Pure excitement in the goodbyes, hugs and words of encouragement. The warmth was the real star of the start of the Barcelona World Race, above the sporting challenge.
